I'm all for people drawing whatever they want, but for FFS tag your posts properly!!! I use a 3rd party filter because DA is too stupid to have one and while trying to look at drawings I am interested in, I constantly see blocked of the following, which are apparently STUPID popular.
Fat/Inflation/overeating which I find disgusting and creepy, but hey, too each their own.
Sonic
Feet fetish
I am not interested in any of those and constantly a picture having to do with it gets through the filter because people don't tag their fucking pictures. Drives me nuts! How hard it is to admit that a character is fat, over eating, that the focus of the picture is the feet? I don't understand it. People who usually do gore generally are good about labeling and tagging things and I appreciate that very much, because even if I have specific things I don't like, I can watch out for it. If I clicked on it, knowing the tags then it's on me. However, not having tags? Fuck you. How hard is it to put those in? Not only that, but proper tags draws the right crowd you are looking for to your work. It's win win for everyone to take two seconds and put what your picture contains!
Seriously. The majority of what is on popular is these, then quite a few amazing works and of course artistic nude photos.
I think what bugs me the most is that frankly the dark triad (fat/inflation, sonic and feet in this case) are often not even quality drawings. It's very clear when porn/fetish trumps any artistic talent and that bugs me. But again, it's also not my business, I just wish people would actually tag their work properly so that my filter prevents me from seeing stuff that I am either uninterested in or actively disgusted/squicked by.
Side Note:
It's really hard to find anything new, even in the "undiscovered" tab because it's not people who are undiscovered. I want to find artists who are just above my level, but not professional. I want to learn techniques and study work that is a few years ahead of mine, not genius and not 20 years past me. I would of thought decent, but still rough around the edges and actually undiscovered deviant artists would be under that tab. My mistake for thinking DA had any useful filtering systems.
